Als in het vlakke land de lucht haar wolken toont,
de zon Gods werk nog kroont.
Als in het water de weerschijnt glimt,
mijn achting voor de schepping klimt.
Als nu de mens dees pracht, nu eens niet verkracht.
Als nu de mens Gods werk en zichzelf eens acht.
